Biography
Having served as a General Sessions Judge for 15 years and defended clients in Tennessee courtrooms for over 35 years, Attorney Lonnie R. Hoover brings unparalleled experience and insight to criminal defense. Licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1986, he practices in all Tennessee state courts, including General Sessions, Circuit, the Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court, as well as the Federal District Court.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Lonnie Hoover has handled more than 2,500 criminal cases, including over 1,500 DUI cases. In addition to his extensive experience as a trial lawyer, he served as a juvenile court judge and currently serves as a Special Judge in the Davidson County General Sessions Court.
He is a highly respected courtroom advocate who believes in a personalized, aggressive approach to defending citizens who have been accused of a crime. He understands that most people facing charges are ordinary citizens who have never been arrested before and have no criminal record.
